Well, almost all of the content of Tongass Fjords has been adjusted, edited, expanded, etc., in some form for the FSX version and there are a number of things that are completely new including photoreal glaciers and settlements. -- Move your mouse back and forth over the edge of the images to switch between the FS9 and FSX versions of Tongass Fjords -- Baird Glacier system northeast of Petersburg. In FS9 we were restricted to repeating generic glacier textures. With Tongass Fjords for FSX all glaciers within the coverage area use photoreal textures and there are 250 of them! Stikine River flats, British Columbia, in fall. Tongass Fjords for FSX contains a completely new set of 1-m resolution ground textures, their seasonal variants, and autogen. Notice the vibrant fall colors of the autogen vegetation and the high-elevation meadows. Also, the files that define the shape and elevation of water bodies are much more detailed. Wrangell (PAWG) overview. While Wrangell isn't one of our photoreal settlement areas you can easily spot some of the enhancements we've made to the airport and harbor area. Kake (PAFE) overview. Kake is one of the 17 settlement photoreal areas new to the FSX version. This adds realism not only on land but also in the near-shore water with its mudflats and tidal areas. Porcupine Glacier, British Columbia.
